Now that it’s September and autumn is upon us, consider adding an evening Pilates workshop class into your functional fitness regime. Every Thursday in September from 6-7pm, join us as we stretch out the daylight hours.
Pilates with the Stability Ball ~ Thursday, September 18
Although not a classical piece of Pilates equipment, the stability/physio ball offers added challenge to the mat repertoire by creating instability, and tasking all the ‘powerhouse’ muscles to engage. Not to mention, it’s a great deal of fun rolling on and working with these balls!
Better Balance ~ Thursday, September 25
You’ve heard the adage, “use it or lose it”…nothing is truer about balance. There are so many exercises you can add to your daily routines to improve and maintain your balance. Your core, hips and ankles play a key role in keeping you steady and your sensory systems and coordination require practice. Take away ideas you can use to create a consistent practice at home.
