We all go through movement lulls, and whether they are brought on by illness, injury or feeling in a rut, we have the capacity to rekindle the interest and motivation to MOVE.
Sometimes just lying in class, feeling the spine decompress, noticing your breath and reconnecting with your body can start you moving forward.
Pilates is not about performance but rather presence. The smallest movements - rocking the pelvis, moving the shoulder blades, can wake the body up. Some days your body might need a smaller range of motion, and less repetitions and other days, you might feel you can add more intense variations offered in class.
Feeling part of a community is medicine for the body and mind. When we move together and work towards a shared, supportive practice, the payoff is tremendous for our mental health.

Looking for the right class to return to after a hiatus?
Mat Pilates 101, every Sunday at 10:45am, is the ideal beginner/refresher class to remind yourself how good you felt in your body and reclaim that feeling of alignment, strength and mobility.
YOUR PILATES PRACTICE MISSES YOU!
